If you reside in the United States and your Personal Information was implicated in the Data Incident that affected Transak's computer system during September 2024, then you may be a Class Member. Excluded from the Settlement Class are: (i) the Judge in this case, and the Judge's family and staff; (ii) Transak and its employees, officers and directors; (iii) anyone who validly excludes themselves from the Settlement; (iv) anyone who perpetrated the Data Incident; and (v) government entities.

If you are a Class Member and wish to receive Settlement Benefits then you must submit a claim form by December 1, 2025.

All Class Members may submit a claim for one of two cash payment options:

Cash Payment Option 1: Documented Losses. If you incurred actual, documented out-of-pocket losses due to the Data Incident, you can get back up to $1,500.00. The losses must have occurred between September 23, 2024 through December 1, 2025. This benefit covers out- of-pocket expenses like:

  • losses because of identity theft or fraud;

  • fees for credit reports, credit monitoring, or freezing and unfreezing your credit;

  • cost to replace your IDs; and/or

  • postage to contact banks by mail

You need to send proof, like bank statements or receipts, to show how much you spent or lost. You can also send notes or papers you made yourself to explain or support other proof, but those notes or papers alone are not enough to make a valid claim.

Cash Payment Option 2: Alternate Cash Payment. Instead of the benefits in Cash Payment Option 1, you may claim a one-time $50.00 cash payment. You do not have to provide any proof or explanation to claim this payment. In the event the total of all Cash Payments exceeds $601,000.00, the Cash Payment will be reduced pro rata for all Settlement Class Members. Claims will be subject to review for completeness and validity by the Settlement Administrator.

If a Class Member does not submit a valid and timely Claim Form, the Class Member will release his or her claims without receiving any of the above Settlement benefits.

More information about each of these benefits please review the Notice, FAQs and the Settlement Agreement. If you have questions about these benefits you may also contact the Settlement Administrator by calling the toll-free number (844) 496-1190, by email info@TransakUSASettlement.com or by mail at the address below.
